Our story
Honesty and commitment, decade after decade
Rich and Ray's Automotive stands for honesty. Building long-term customer relationships founded on high-quality performance is the cornerstone of this business — which is why we have such a substantial base of repeat customers, and an outstanding record of integrity including a strong BBB rating with zero complaints across decades of operation.

1970s
Roots in Clinton
The shop's history on the Connecticut shoreline goes back decades, built one honest repair at a time.
2005
Bought and rebuilt
Mark purchased the shop and renovated it top to bottom — new lifts, new equipment, new tools — without changing what made it work.
Today
Under Owen Zamecnik
Current leadership keeps the same standard: high-quality work, straight answers and long-term relationships.
We speak classic as fluently as modern
Mark's own numbers-matching 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix project is a good sign of how seriously we take old iron. That experience shows up in customer cars too — most recently a 1956 Chevy wagon that came through for a complete brake system overhaul along with a new fuel tank, exhaust and shocks.
From routine maintenance to major mechanical work to restoration and custom fabrication, it's all done here, in-house.
